About The Game

Thul The Barbarian is a PSX inspired First Person Hack & Slash Metroidvania with a strong focus on combat. Your goal is to reobtain your axe Kromgar, and escape the dungeon.

Disclaimer

The game is very short experience that should take 5 - 10 minutes to finish and couldn't find the time to make a boss. We wanted to keep the scope small for the project but depending on the game's reception, we might expand on this with a longer demo.

The mechanics are pretty good (since they're infallible), but shallow and underused.

It feels like there was supposed to be more platforming, more enemies, and level ideas that weren't used.
As if the challenge rooms were supposed to be harder and more packed, or the platforming a bit faster or sweeter.

I'm so open to this, but it's missing depth in platforming and combat.
Overall, it's not too bad, but it feels like it was cut down, and I kinda would've loved for the game to explore itself more even if it sacrificed some polish or mechanics.

Props to the team for the work done, and the market for a melee movement FPS is yours to partake in.

Hi there!  We kept the scope small for the project and plan on expanding it down the line. Thanks for the feedback tho!
